Az W Studio Visits

Excursion Studio Visits As part of the Vienna Art Week Following the motto 'Navigating Angst' of this year's Vienna Art Week, the Az W invites you to visit protagonists of the architecture scene who use times of uncertainty as a driver for innovative ideas and transform challenges into opportunities. The Institute of Building Research & Innovation embodies this spirit by developing evidence-based solutions for a sustainable building culture. By combining science and technology, practical human needs are translated into future-oriented construction in an environmentally responsible manner. This includes new approaches for low-emission and resource-efficient residential construction or research into low-carbon cooling systems for buildings. The architecture office around Juri Troy is distinguished by an integrative future-proof approach. Its work combines culturally significant building concepts with energy efficiency and CO2-neutrality strategies, with a special focus on renewable raw materials such as domestic wood or clay.
