Running gag
Running gag questions power dynamics and gender relations in humor – who is actually allowed to be funny, and who laughs at whom? In search of female role models in the history of humor, the lecture performance engages with slapstick comedies of the 1910s and examines gender and humor in a time when women's roles underwent major changes.
