The Art of Crossing the Street
The collective KLAUS and the initiative Geht-doch invite you to the zebra crossing – a transitional space where vehicles must yield to people. But what happens when we temporarily use this functional space differently, reinterpret it choreographically, and turn it into a site for collective movement experiments? Cross Walk Movements is a participatory dance performance and workshop in public space. Five performers and everyone who wants to join – whether planned or spontaneously passing by – are invited to participate. The performance invites us to expand our familiar movement vocabulary, experiment with different forms of locomotion, and appropriate the zebra crossing as public space to experience it anew. Join in!
