Tremolo

A multiple award-winning performance-lecture comes to Vienna! The chosen title "Tremolo" is interpreted as vibration – as a trembling between desire and fear. The fear of not conforming to the "norms" created or imposed by society in the context of sexual desire. The fear of meeting others' expectations – expectations that we so often internalize that we no longer notice it. What have we been and are we repeatedly told? What remains unspoken, even though we would so like to know, understand and hear it from each other, so that everyone can feel normal and healthy in their sex life? The director chose the format of a performance-lecture because it best allows her to illuminate the themes of female body knowledge, sexual health and self-worth through the prism of sexual desire. She combines scientifically sound information with documentary stories from people who identify as women. WARNING. The piece contains nudity and addresses sensitive stories around the topic of intimacy. Recommended from age 16. We invite you to bring your mobile phone to the event. A conversation with a sex counselor or educator is an integral part of the performance.

Tremolo takes place on 30 November 2026, 19:00 at Ateliertheater.
