Our Story
buzz.city started as a passion project in Vienna, Austria's cultural capital. As residents who love exploring the city's rich cultural offerings, we were frustrated by the fragmented landscape of event information—some events on Facebook, others on venue websites, many hidden in obscure newsletters.
We realized that both event-goers and organizers were suffering from the same problem: great events were happening, but connecting the two sides was unnecessarily difficult. Traditional event platforms focused on large commercial events, while neighborhood cultural happenings often went unnoticed.
So we built buzz.city: a platform that democratizes event discovery by putting all events—from the Staatsoper to your local neighborhood market—on the same map, giving them equal visibility and making them equally discoverable.
Looking Ahead
While we started in Vienna, our ambition extends far beyond. We're building the foundation to expand to other cities across Europe, bringing the same ease of cultural discovery to Berlin, Munich, Salzburg, Barcelona, and beyond.
We're also continuously improving the platform based on user feedback, adding features like personalized recommendations, social sharing, and enhanced analytics for event organizers.
