What is buzz.city?
buzz.city is a free platform that helps you discover local events and interesting places in Vienna. We show you what's happening in your neighborhood on an interactive map, making it easy to find concerts, theater performances, markets, and other cultural events.
Is buzz.city really free?
Yes! Using buzz.city as a visitor is completely free. Event organizers can also list their events for free. We offer optional premium features for those who want additional visibility for their events.
Which cities are available?
Currently, buzz.city is available for Vienna. We're working on expanding to other cities including Berlin, Munich, Salzburg, and Graz. Stay tuned!
For Visitors
How do I find events near me?
Simply navigate to buzz.city and allow location access. The map will show you all events happening near your current location. You can filter by date, event type, and neighborhood.
Can I save events to view later?
Yes! Click the heart icon on any event to add it to your favorites. Access your saved events anytime from the "My favorites" section in the menu.
How do I get directions to an event?
Click on any event marker on the map to see details. You'll find options to get directions via walking, biking, or public transport.
For Event Organizers
How do I add my event to buzz.city?
Click on "Promote your event" in the menu and fill out the event submission form. You'll need to provide basic information like event name, description, date, time, and location. Your event will be reviewed and published within 24 hours.
What information do I need to provide?
Essential information includes:
- Event name and description
- Date and time (or recurring schedule)
- Location (address or coordinates)
- Event type (concert, theater, market, etc.)
- Link to your event website or ticket sales
- Optional: Price information, images
How long does it take for my event to appear?
Most events are reviewed and published within 24 hours. Events are automatically displayed on the map on their scheduled date.
Can I edit my event after submitting?
Yes! Contact us through the contact form with your event details and requested changes. For registered users, we're developing a self-service dashboard where you can manage your events directly.

What are Add-ons?
Add-ons are optional premium features that give your event extra visibility. These include:
- Extended promotion period (show your event 1-4 weeks early)
- Priority placement (larger markers, top of lists)
- Featured badge (star icon for premium events)
- Analytics dashboard

Do I need Add-ons to list my event?
No! Basic event listing is completely free. Add-ons are purely optional for those who want enhanced visibility.
Technical Questions
Which browsers are supported?
buzz.city works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We also have full mobile support for iOS and Android.
Why isn't my location working?
Make sure you've granted location permissions to your browser. On mobile devices, check your device settings. If issues persist, you can manually search for your location or navigate the map.
Can I use buzz.city offline?
buzz.city requires an internet connection to load current event data. However, events you've saved to favorites will remain accessible with limited functionality.
Privacy & Data
What data do you collect?
We only collect minimal data necessary to provide our service. This includes your location (only if you grant permission) and saved favorites. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
How do you use my location data?
Location data is used only to show you relevant nearby events. It's processed locally in your browser and not stored on our servers.
